Lemonade

LEMONADE

When sidewalks hiss like bacon fat,
Take note.
The wise man will not trust his coat,
Like that.
Just squeeze two lemons in a glass,
Ice first.
The cubes arrive to quench your thirst,
Not pass.
One sip demotes the sun from king,
Heat fled.
That's why our grandmothers stirred instead.
