Thirst Trap

THIRST TRAP

We do not share our heart’s journey without what ifs.

Contemplating the love that may have been,

or the choice that we just missed,

makes of our hearts sea sponges in freshwater -

surrounded by what we think we might need,

gasping for breath nonetheless.

  2. That's such a powerful extended metaphor. There's so much fear in there.
