OF COURSE BIG GIRLS CRY
They say that “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” but the truth is,
they cry every day.
It takes a lifetime to grow a womanly heart,
a few stolen moments to give it away,
and a split second to shatter it like stolen crockery.
Tears are more than a defense, more than a release,
tears are the fuel of resolve.
No woman ever conquered that had not cried,
no mastery without anguish,
no growth without loss.
This is why women are stronger.
Only a woman’s soul is big enough
to cry for those who have wronged them,
forgotten them,
Or hurt them.
The bigger the girl, the more precious her tears.
