Neon Reliquary

The skyline hums, all static, smoke, and chrome,
I walk the wires, barefoot in the rain’s hiss.
No savior rides the feed to bring me home,
just ghostlight promises of viral bliss.
The code don’t care who breaks or who they miss.
I solder hope from scraps of failed belief,
burn hunger down and patch my soul in mesh.
Each scar’s a circuit, raw and bright, not grief—
I build myself again from data flesh,
a god of one, unbent by my motif.

  1. I solder hope from false beliefs - love that.

  2. A poignant line - "just ghostlight promises of viral bliss" that sets me pondering (Dennis Ryle breaking anonymity)

  3. This cuts deeply and resonated with me specially: Each scar’s a circuit, raw and bright, not grief— and also agreed with Bjorn and Dennis lines. Effortless writing of the form! Thank you.
